mein Mann und ich bekommen unser erstes Kind. Wir sind am hin und her überlegen, ob ich ein oder eineinhalb Jahre in Karenz gehen soll. Was sind die Vorteile und Nachteile, wenn es um das Kindergeld geht?

Hey Hexe21, 

erstmal herzliche Gratulation zur Schwangerschaft, wie schön für Euch!

Zu deiner Frage: im Grunde, glaube ich, musst du dir überlegen, wie lange zu bei deinem Kind bleiben möchtest. Das ist eine essentielle Frage, weil die Zeit mit deinem Baby kann dir niemand mehr zurückgeben. 

Aber wenn du zum Geld überlegst, würde ich sagen, du musst schauen, wie viel du verdienst. Wenn du etwas mehr verdienst, macht das Einkommensbezogene KG Sinn, da kriegst du bis zu 2000 Euro im Monat, also 80% deines Einkommens gedeckelt mit 66 Euro am Tag (ohne 13./14.). Da musst du aber nach einem Jahr schon wieder arbeiten gehen - nämlich genau am Geburtstag deines Kindes! Das Geld wird dir nach dem MuSchu 365 Tage lang ausgezahlt. Also MuSchu 8-12 Wochen je nach Geburt (natürlich oder Kaiserschnitt) + die restlichen Tage bis 365 erreicht sind. 

Hoffe, das war verständlich. 

Ansonsten bekommst du das Geld aus dem Kinderbetreuungsgeld Konto, das in Summe etwas über 12.000 Euro ausmacht. Das kannst du dann einteilen, je nachdem, wie lange du in Karenz gehst. 

Kleiner Tipp, wenn dein Mann auch in Karenz geht, und Ihr Euch die Zeit teilt, bekommt Ihr sogar mehr. Ich glaube, etwas über 15.000 Euro. 

Ich persönlich war 2 Jahre in Karenz und bereue keine Sekunde davon.
